SIR: I congratulate cinema chain Warner Company, and its managing director Mr Peter Dobson for taking such a bold move, not to show the film 'Kids' in its cinemas. I hope other cinema chains will follow suit.
The local council does have the authority to stop the showing of such material in the Bolton area.
