ROAD Rage took on a new dimension in an incident in a Bolton town centre street.
Today, Malcolm Steele clings to life after an incident in which he was allegedly punched in the face. But this was no altercation between two irate motorists; Malcolm Steele was a pedestrian.
We have already become accustomed to bad behaviour on the road leading to violence between drivers. This worrying change in a modern "disease" is yet a further example of a society quick to resort to fists rather than fair play. In a week when the Government is sensibly urging motorists everywhere to "kill your speed," perhaps thought could be put to a new national campaign aimed at Road Ragers. Its slogan could "Kill your temper."
