SIR: May I reply to the letter headed Rural Snobbery (BEN, April 30). Who does Mr A J H Pilkington of the British Field and Sports Society think he is, telling everybody what to do? Does he never give his mouth a rest from ordering people to do his will, or telling people who he is.

Well I, for one, will not be dancing to your tune.

I also have lived in town, and rural Breightmet for 30 years, and we do know what is right and wrong as far as wild animals are concerned. And I still say fox hunting is no sport, not to the poor fox. Mr A J H Pilkington also says fishing is a sport, but a lot of fishermen throw the fish back in the water to carry on living. The poor fox is ripped to pieces by the hounds.

Just Humble Housewife.
