COLIN Todd is ready to scour Europe in a bid to increase his continental selection for next season's Endsleigh League campaign.
The Wanderers boss ignored today's FA Cup Final and flew out instead to Copenhagen to check out six of Denmark's top clubs.
And, despite already having four foreigners in his squad, he will be keeping a watching brief on the European Championships, which kick off on June 8.
Todd has already earmarked the Denmark v Croatia game at Hillsborough on June 16 for special attention and won't hesitate to make a move if the terms are right.
The recent relaxation of the three foreigner rule gives Wanderers scope to add to their continental contingent which currently i ncludes Sasa Curcic (Yugoslavia), Gudni Bergsson (Iceland), Fabian de Freitas (Holland) and Mixu Paatelainen (Finland).
But if he shops outside the EEC, Todd would face the complication of complying with work permit regulations which specify that imported players must play 75 per cent of games each season.
After two whistle-stop trips to Holland in recent weeks, the Burnden boss was taking advantage of staggered kick-off times to watch three games in the Danish capital today.
"The fact that they are still playing in Denmark gives me the opportunity to check out a few teams," Todd confirmed.
"It's a pretty good market over there. Who knows what may come of it?"
