BOLTON-born author and playwright Jonathan Gash was generous with his time and talent when he wrote a play for Astley Bridge Theatre Church's.
But it is not surprising that the church felt obliged to return it. A play about the lecherous and blasphemous composer Vivaldi hardly seems the most appropriate vehicle for any church society.
Mr Gash has behaved in an exemplary manner in the face of rejection and has merely expressed his disappointment about the decision.
We are sure that Mr Gash's play will find a stage elsewhere. The use of the F-word and and a script depicting a man's relentless pursuit of women has not been any bar to success for many other playwrights.
