THE disclosure of the forensic blunders in Kent could have serious ramifications in a variety of terrorist cases.
It must have been tempting to ignore the contaminated centrifuge which now calls into question evidence of explosives in several high-profile crimes. Naturally, an urgent Government inquiry is under way as the prospect of legal action swiftly hoves into view.
While it is a matter of great concern that such basic blunders in this hi-tech profession occur at all, it is plain that justice must now be seen to be done, whatever the cost.
