GOLBORNE finally emerged from one of their worst starts in years with their first victory of the season yesterday.
They beat Edgworth by seven wickets with a workmanlike performance that saw Ewan McCray collect six wickets for 50. That helped dismiss Edgworth for 146 but Golborne had to call on an unbeaten century partnership from pro Tony Kelly and Ian Seddon to help them recover from 2-1 to a winning 149-3.
Kelly finished on 72 not out and Seddon 43 not out.
