A FAMILY was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a suspected arson attack at their home early today.
The fire, which is thought to have been started deliberately in an outhouse adjacent to the family's semi-detached home, left the house badly smoke-logged.
Mrs Amanda Watson, 23, and her two children, Danielle, five and four-year-old Mark, were alerted to the fire by Mrs Watson's brother.
Darrell Podmore had been sleeping on the settee at his sister's Milton Crescent, New Bury home when he spotted the smoke.
He dashed upstairs to wake his sister and the youngsters.
Mrs Watson and the children received treatment at Bolton Royal Infirmary before going to stay with family in Tyldesley.
