BOLTON art shop owner John Hayes opened a window of opportunity for himself.
John, whose shop Art Incorporated is in the Market Place, won a national window-dressing competition organised by Washington Green, a publishing firm which specialises in fine art prints.
The contest offers £1,000 worth of prints each month to the dealer creating the most eye-catching display.
John's was created for an evening with artist Graham Illingworth during March to launch his latest collection of watercolours and signed silk screens.
Art Incorporated was one of only 10 dealers chosen to exhibit work by the northern-born artist.
The display was designed by John and created to complement Graham's art.
It included traditional oriental design with fresh lilies and irises and other natural materials such as pebbles and wood, echoing the style of a Japanese garden.
The artwork was draped with black material and finished with traditional style fans. The centrepiece was an elaborate kimono owned and designed by the artist.
