BURY Crossroads Care Scheme, which provides a relief service for carers in the community, has become the first charity to be awarded Investors in People by Bolton Bury Training and Enterprise Council. The Scheme, which was established four years ago, employs 19 part-time care attendants, four part-time administrative staff and a full-time manager.
It provides an average of four hours relief a week to individuals who care for relatives within the family or at home who may be suffering from physical, mental or sensory impairment.
