TIM Wallwork will lead a strong Bolton League Xl in their revenge mission against the Northern League at Leyland on Sunday, June 9.
The Little Lever wicket-keeper captains a much-changed Bolton side in the tie of the first round of the Lancashire Inter-League knockout.
The Northern League beat Bolton in last year's final but the side, again managed by Jeff Todd, is strengthened by the return of a number of former inter-league stars, a contingent of four highly-rated all-rounders in Wayne Harper, David Smith and Tim Barry, and the re-uniting of the fearsome opening attack of Ian Taylor and Mark Stewart. But last year's player-of-the-year Craig Duxbury and former League captain Richard Powell are both unavailable. Kearsley's Steve Davies gets his inter-league call.
Bolton League line-up: Tim Wallwork (Little Lever, capt and wkt), Wayne Harper (Egerton), Steve Davies (Kearsley), Paul Berry (Kearsley), David Morris (Bradshaw), David Smith (Walkden), David White (Kearsley), Tim Barry (Heaton), Michael Crookson (Westhoughton), Ian Taylor (Tonge), Mark Stewart (Greenmount).
