LOSTOCK Leisure Centre manager Stephen Blakemore and fitness instructor Kevan Goodwin are really putting their weight behind a charity challenge round the 23-mile Three Peaks Circuit in Yorkshire.
They hope to complete the circuit over Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent carrying backpacks weighted down with FIVE STONES apiece. And they hope to complete the challenge in 10 to 15 hours.
They are doing the walk as part of the British Aerospace Charity Challenge aimed at raising funds for Derian House Children's Hospice.
So far more than £1,000 has been raised by getting people to guess the closest completion time at £1 a go. The winner will receive six months free membership to the leisure club.
Anyone who wants to have a guess at the pair's time for the event, which will be held on June 1, can contact Stephen on Bolton 669673.
