WALSHAW made sure there were changes at the bottom as well as the top of the Bolton Association table.
They won their first game of the season in a close encounter with Blackrod to climb off the bottom leaving Adlington to prop up the rest.
Walshaw could not have felt confident with only a total of 139-9 to defend at Blackrod but professional Colin Crouch soon gave them hope as he started to get among the wickets.
At one stage Blackrod were 19-4 but Kevin Anderson provided stubborn resistance with a knock of 46. Crouch, however, finally wrapped things up with six wickets for 49 leaving Blackrod 133 all out and Walshaw winners by six runs. Adlington's demise continued because they could not score anything like enough runs to trouble British Aero.
They were all out for 72 as John Nuttall and Ian Wainman finished with the identical figures of 4-23 off 23 overs, Adlington's top scorer being Mark Bannister with - 23 not out.
British Aero reached a winning 76-5 but it took them 33 overs to achieve that with David Roscoe top scoring with 39.
