FEMINISTS who do more harm than good to their cause have been at it again.
Outraged sisters in Birmingham objected to a line in the National Anthem saying "That men should brothers be".
The Provost of Birmingham, the Very Reverend Peter Berry, was accosted by the women after a civic function and agreed to change the line to: "That all should united be".
The fact that the meaning of the line is lost does not seem to have occurred to any of them. What a pity the Provost did not tell them to keep their political correctness to themselves and leave the rest of Birmingham to enjoy the oldest national anthem in the world.
The arrogance of these women in seeking to change words which have been sung since the 19th century is almost unbelievable.
