DAVE Edgington was taken to a play-off with Graham Clarke before he finally lifted Deane's Hulton Cup.
Dave fired in a solid 68 nett but Clarke could not match his consistency and trailed behind on 74 nett.
Young Andy Runciman secured the best gross prize and the course record by virtue of it being the first tournament played since the alteration of three tees and the addition of a new green.
Leading scores: Edgington 72-5-67, Clarke 80-13-67, J Nock 85-17-68, K Houghton 78-9-69, A Runciman 70-1-69, R Ewell 76-7-69, Ste Greenall 73-4-69. Last Saturday the four ball better ball medal was won by Mark Turnbull and Gordon Hartley with 61, from Tony Shaw and Peter Williams 63.

On Sunday the second round of the summer medal was held with Keith Robinson setting a new course record of 69 to win the Division One section with 69-5-64 from Jeff Shuttleworth 73-8-65.
Division Two was headed by Matthew Brown 77-11-66 from Steve Smith 77-11-66 while the Division Three went to Michael Harkin 83-18-65 from Bernard Hatton 86-19-67.
The Frank Marsh Trophy for seniors was won by Jack Tickle 77-10-67.
