SIR: May I thank Winifred, and all the staff, who work tirelessly and, mostly, voluntarily in providing good food at the Age Concern. Where else could one get a good meal and cup of tea for £1.40 and no washing up; someone to clear the table, warmth when it's cold, and company.
They do not always put on the menu board, all that they have, but if you fancy something else, and they have it, they are always willing to cook it for you. All you have to do, is ask.
There are always those who will find fault, but they should realise that without the Age Concern, and those who work in it, we would be in a sorry state.
