THE get tough legislation for water companies is very welcome. Ministers have agreed that domestic customers should receive £10, and businesses £50, for every day they are hit by standpipes or rota cuts.
The compensation does not match that received by domestic gas and electricity customers - £20 and £40 a day respectively - but it's a move in the right direction.
