DIRECTORS Anne and Geoff Collins will be seeing double during rehearsals for the musical play,ZAlice.
The couple were so impressed by the standard of applicants auditioning for the lead role, they decided to have two main players.
Anne, who has written the play, introduced another character into the story, the Reflection of Alice. Jennifer Sharrocks and Pamela Knowles will alternate the parts when the play is staged at the Astley Bridge Theatre Church from November 29 to December 7.
Anne said: "We were very impresssed by everyone who came along, not only for this part, but for other roles. We are pleased that so many people who were not successful in getting leading roles are still taking part in the show."
There are 110 people in the production and these include Helen Price who will play the Red Queen and Derek Horner who will play the Mad Hatter.
Anne is looking forward to seeing all of them on June 5.
