TRADERS will soon be clamped ... if they park outside Bolton's Ashburner Street market.
Council chiefs are fed up with stallholders taking up places which are meant to be used by customers.
They have issued warnings but some traders are still parking in the spaces and now they have decided to get tough.
Cllr Michael Kilcoyne, chairman of the council's contract services sub committee, said: "Most of the traders do not park in these spaces and they have supported us in doing this.
"There are just one or two people who park there all day and take up valuable spaces which should be used by customers."
Anyone who is clamped will have to pay £30 for it to be removed. And if anyone tries to remove it themselves, they will have to pay the cost of the damage and another £20 for administration charges.
