BUDDING designers will be putting a load of old rubbish on the catwalk for a special fashion show later this month.
Competitors in the Enviroganza competition will only be allowed to use materials that would have been thrown out for their creations.
Budding Armanis are being invited to take part in two fashion workshops at the Crossover Shop on Halliwell Road.
A professional designer will be on hand to help them put together their recycled creations ready for the grand finale, a fashion show at the Jubilee Centre, Brownlow Fold on June 17. The competition is being sponsored by the Bolton Evening News, Bolton City Challenge, the Halliwell Youth Fund and the Howcroft Inn. Details from David Shuttleworth on Bolton 362696.
Council leader Cllr Bob Howarth said: "The purpose of the show is to promote the importance of recycling.
"It's going to be colourful, noisy and lots of fun and well worth joining in."
