RUTH Kelly, the prospective Labour candidate for the marginal Bolton West seat, put thoughts of the forthcoming General Election on the back burner for a day when she married Derek Gadd at St Patrick's RC Church in London.
Ruth, an Oxford graduate who works as deputy head of the Bank of England's inflation report division, lives in Wapping.
In the election she will be attacking a Tory majority of 1,079 which will be swollen to an estimated 5,000 by the transfer of predominantly Labour Halliwell ward from Bolton West to the neighbouring North East ward.
