OVER £70 million has been spent on an advanced wastewater treatment facility at Fleetwood.
Bury-based ductwork contractors Senior Hargreaves and Bolton-based structural engineers William Hare were major equipment suppliers.
Bechtel, based at Warrington, were responsible for initial design and supervising the project.
Sea Change is the £500 million programme by North West Water to clean up coastal waters from the Scottish border to the Mersey estuary.
The Fylde phase of the operation is being spent to protect Blackpool's golden beaches and is costing £150 million.
