COLORVISION shops in Bolton and Bury are expected to be open again for business today as talks continue on their future.
As reported in the Bolton Evening News last week, the TV and video chain Colorvision went into administrative receivership on Wednesday.
The local stores, which are owned by a subsidiary of Colorvision, known as Colorvision (JB) Ltd of Bolton, are not in receivership but there is still a degree of uncertainty over the future of the shops.
The shops were closed last week, but managers decided to re-open the Newport Street store and are hopeful that shops in Blackburn Road, Bolton, Farnworth and Bury will also open today. Manager Matthew Brown said: "We are taking advice at the moment on how to proceed. We are very hopeful that all the shops in the area will be open again for business."
James Worsley, of John Newton and Partners, the public relations company for Colorvision, said there has been no change since receivers Arthur Andersen were called in on Wednesday.
But he added: "The subsidiary which owns the shops in Bolton is not in receivership and what happens there is a matter for the directors of that company."
