WINGATES Brass Band opens its Autumn programme on a high note on Saturday when it presents a joint concert with Marple Band at the Victoria Hall, Knowsley Street, Bolton.
Wingates and Marple currently stand in 10th and 17th places in the computer rankings of the British Brass Band Movement and will play music from many well known and popular shows includingZThe Arcadians, My Fair Lady, The Student Prince, Showboat, West Side StoryZand theZFinale of the 1812 Overture.
The first half of the programme will be conducted by Wingates' Geoffrey Whitham while Marple's Gary Cutt will take the baton for the second half.
The proceeds of the concert, which starts at 7.15 pm, will be shared among the two bands and the Victoria Hall.
