PER Frandsen could be on the verge of an international recall.
Bo Johansen, the recently-appointed national coach of Denmark, is planning to see the Wanderers' midfield ace in action before he names his squad for the World Cup qualifier against Greece in Copenhagen on October 9.
That could also open the international door for team-mate Michael Johansen, who has so far only figured at Under 21 level.
Frandsen, highly impressive and influential in his first five games for Wanderers, was a regular member of the Danish national squad under the previous regime, winning three full caps and making another six appearances on the subs bench. But he missed out on Euro 96 because his appearances for FC Copenhagen last season were limited by injuries and suspensions.
At 26, the more experienced of the Danish duo signed in a £2.25 million joint transfer, Frandsen is expected to be ahead of 23-year-old Johansen in the push for international recognition.
But confirmation today that the national boss is planning to make a personal check on Wanderers could be good news for both.
