CABARET performers are needed to help a group of children who could be killed by a food allergy.
A local charity is organising a fund-raising night for the youngsters.
But some of the celebrities who have been asked to take part have prior commitments.
Now worried Karen Blackledge, secretary of the Association For Allergic Disorders, is appealing for professionals to rescue the cabaret evening at the Longfield Suite, Prestwich on October 25. She hopes artistes will offer their services. Her Ramsbottom home number is 01706 821496.
Mrs Blackledge said: "We are not having much luck so I would like to appeal for any artistes who can to give up their time to help these children."
The self-help group, based at Fairfield Hospital, Bury was founded by Christine Barker whose daughter Sarah suffers from potentially fatal allergic reactions.
