My personal diary,
Private property.
Each day writing tales,
Tomorrow's memories.
There safely stored
In my little notebook,
For me to refer to,
Whenever I need look.
Empty spaces,
Each day filling one.
Birthdays, anniversaries,
Dates of family fun.
Turn to a date or time maybe,
Remembering names or people to see;
An address to visit,
Appointment to go;
Postcodes, phone numbers
Only I need to know.
My mental recall
Of what's past and gone,
Also days of sadness,
When my feelings were glum.
My keepsake diary,
Solid proof that will last.
Accurate statements
Of my present and past. Mrs Patricia Firth
