A NEW media campaign is aimed at convincing North-west employers that the Employment Service can help with their recruitment needs.
The message in advertisements is: "We'll find you the right person for the job."
Mike Fogden, chief executive of the Employment Service, said: "We can display a vacancy within hours of speaking to an employer, arrange application form distribution and even offer interview facilities at most Jobcentres.
"Jobcentre staff will also discuss and agree with the employer their particular needs.
"Employers can therefore be confident that only the most suitable applicants will be sent for interview, saving them time, effort and money."
Staff at the Jobcentre in Blackburn are helping Rectella move into town from premises in Chorley and Atherton.
The company, which has about 500 employees, is currently recruiting about 25 staff in Blackburn.
The figure is expected to rise significantly when their move is completed in the summer of 1998.
Jobcentre business manager Brenda Sweeney said: "One of Rectella's main concerns about the move to Blackburn was the recruitment of machinists locally and this is where we are able to help."
