SIR: I refer to the article 'Disabled drivers booked in parking crackdown' (BEN, September 2 .
I very much agree with what it says, plus most Orange Badge holders do not display their badges correctly. They are supposed to be standing up on the dashboard, so that the wardens can see the photograph of the disabled person, (this is to try to prevent fraud of the badge, Central Government Rules) on the inside of the badge, preferably through the quarter light window, or similar. All the ones I see are just folded into three, so obviously the photograph cannot be seen at all.
So come on, Orange Badge owners, display your badges correctly, and also, come along wardens, get some fines dished out to the people who do not display badges correctly.
If the Orange Badge holders read their leaflet given at the same time as the badge, they will read the correct rules for the use of the badge.
