SIR: I refer to the article about dogs fouling the pavement and grass verges.
In my opinion there are too many dogs roaming about and if one tries to maintain a garden, it is an endless job picking up dogs' and cats' droppings.
Abolishing dog licensing was the worse thing ever devised, by the powers-that-be. I know at that times the fee wasn't justified, but times have changed and if there were a fee of between £5-£10 for each dog, then there would be fewer households with three or four dogs. And I am sure that true dog lovers wouldn't mind paying for the privilege of owning one.
