They brought this section to a close withZThe Sun Has Got His Hat On,Zwhich was added to the score ofZMe and My GirlZfor the revised version of that show.
The Cohen brothers, Paul and Graham, were in good form last night, particularly in the selection of show-stoppers by Rodgers and Hammerstein after the interval.
Their interpretation ofZHoney BunZfrom South Pacific was a big hit with the audience.
Variety was brought to the programme by Acclamation, a singing group from Westhoughton.
The group of four men (three of them guitarists) and four women sang folk songs, as well as country and western and some rock numbers from the 1950s and 60s. They proved good all-rounders.
St Peter's attractive young dancers - Joanne Eccleshare, Sarah Hatton, Nicola Jones and Amy Naughton - were versatile performers and had pleasant voices.
Louise Cohen sangZOver the Rainbow Zvery well, with a much sharper delivery than when she performed the same number in a production of Wizard of Oz a few years ago.
