BOLTON College has appointed a new tutor to provide extra support for its deaf students across the college.

Gary Barnard, 27, is not only teaching deaf students on Access to Further Education courses, but is also running Deaf Awareness Training.

Guy said: "Our Deaf Awareness programmes can promote more effective teaching methods and also be tailored to meet the needs of individual employers."

After graduating in Visual Arts from Oxford Polytechnic, Guy trained and worked with deaf people in Liverpool. He has also worked as a freelance interpreter and supported deaf students at Derby University.
