SIR: In response to the letter you carried on September 11 headed 'Obeying Rules'. I would like to use your columns to inform Mr Nightingale of Farnworth that in the past eight months a total of 194 motorists have been issued fixed penalty tickets for parking in spaces reserved for disabled drivers.
I hope this illustrates that all sections of the community are expected to obey the rules, or face the consequences.
I hope you will print this, as I am anxious to show that the police have no reason to maintain a 'deathly silence' over this issue.
