IN the BOLTON BOYS FEDERATION Under-12s Manchester County Cup AFC Bolton were the pride of the league when they clinched a place in the next round with a 2-1 home victory over Langhey Athletic with a goal apiece from Gareth Cunniff and Neil Smith.

In the Under-12s junior Bolton Lads Club hit nine without reply against St Elizabeths who are finding life hard.

In the Under-11s cubs Yamin Patel hit a hat-trick as AFC Bolton beat Bolton Lads Club 7-1 while in the Under-14s, Bolton Lads Club were too strong for Ladybridge with a 9-1 away victory thanks to Steven Robinson who scored six of his side's goals.

In the Under-15s section B Ladybridge Boys won 5-3 at Westhoughton Rangers with Craig Smith hitting all five goals and in the Under-16s there were wins for AFC Bolton - 4-1 at home to Bromley Cross with doubles for both John Saxon and Neil Gregson - and Bolton County who kept up their unbeaten record on their new pitch.

It was their first game and they celebrated in style beating Rossendale 4-2 with a hat-trick for Guy Hampson and a goal for Ryan Cain. This followed a fine 9-2 victory in midweek over Astley Bridge in which Guy Hampson scored a double hat-trick for his side.

Another hat-trick came in the Under-16s where Danny Wilcock struck three times as Pennington hammered luckless Astley Bridge 7-1.

Andy Andy Morris was another hat-trick hero as Blackmoor HF stayed top of the Under-18s Section B with a 4-0 victory over Horwich Town.

In the Under-18s, there were wins for Moss Bank A at home to Atherton Colls 7-4 in a thriller of a game which was at one stage 2-2. David Whittaker (3), Gary Lovatt (3) and Mark Tunstall scoring for Moss Bank with Phillip Hornby scoring all four goals for Atherton.

Daisy Hill won 4-1 at home to Breightmet United with their goals being shared by Gary Drayton, Paul Prescott, Andy McNare and Michael Jones and Rossendale Utd had an emphatic home win over neighbours Radcliffe Amateurs B 9-1 with goals from Daniel Crowley (4), Matt Wood (2), Scott Gilchrist (2) and Reece Lomax.
