A SERIES of health education classes with a difference will be starting shortly for the over 60s at Bolton Institute.

The difference is that the participants will be paid for taking part!

Barbara Deguzis, an American psychology research student working for her PhD at the Institute, is looking for a large number of older people to help with her project, "Good Health for the Over 60s."

She needs possibly as many as 200 and is offering payment to suitable people. Those selected as subjects will be asked to attend special health education classes at Bolton Institute once a week for five weeks and to complete a questionnaire.

Barbara, from Connecticut, is starting her first programme at the end of this month.

She said: "I am looking for older people who are in good health and who want to stay that way. Classes can be arranged at times and dates to suit those attending."

If the idea of learning how to stay healthy and getting paid for it appeals to you, contact Barbara at the Institute on Bolton 528851, extension 3145.
