A CLASSIC attacking performance from RADCLIFFE BORO earned a 3-0 win at Warrington Town to extend the current stunning run to four straight wins, the last three without a goal conceded.

The first goal came on the stroke of half time when the Town keeper totally mis-hit a goal kick straight to Ian Lunt and could do nothing to atone for his error as the current Boro leading marksman rounded him to score.

Two goals in five minutes at the start of the second half added the gloss to the Boro performance.

Everyone wants to get in on the attacking play at the moment and Levi Edwards' goal owed much to the set-up of defenders David Bean and John Ryan.

Within moments full back Jason Ashley stormed between three defenders to stun Warrington with a superb drive into the top corner. Former Leigh RMI midfielder Jon Senior picked up the Man of the Match award for Boro.

ATHERTON LR clocked up a first UniBond Division One win of the season with a hard-fought single goal victory over Workington.

Rovers left it late but were well worth a win at the end of a tough game for a victory that was fashioned out of good old-fashioned toil and sweat.

A breathtaking run from Mark Stewart down the left and a cross pulled back to the edge of the penalty area was met superbly on the volley by Mattie Brookes for an 85th-minute winner.

A non-stop inspirational performance in midfield from Tony Pemberton saw the former LR player earn his new club ATHERTON COLLS a 1-1 draw at highly-rated Nantwich Town in a NWCL Division One clash.

Colls battled back well after conceding a goal on 15 minutes for Pemberton to crash in his first strike for the club when he stormed past three defenders to bury the equaliser in the back of the Town net.

Unfortunately for Atherton, Graham Dodd, Steve Wallace and the goal-scorer all picked up injuries, and midfielder Rob Hilton was red-carded seven minutes from time for dissent.
