COLIN Todd ordered the same again as Wanderers set out to match their impressive start in the league with a convincing Coca-Cola Cup opener at Bristol City tonight.
The Burnden boss will name the same line-up and call for the same confident approach that has taken them to the top of Division One.
But the man who helped mastermind some of the most thrilling giant-killing successes in the club's history also warned of the dangers of underestimating the underdog.
"The cup shouldn't be any different, but it is," the manager cautioned.
"We've been the underdogs many times and we know as well as anyone that surprises can happen if you're not up for it."
Nevertheless, Wanderers appear to be in the right mood and the right frame of mind to avoid any major problems from the Second Division side as they set their sights on the third round.
They have lost just once in seven games - at Southend - and go into the game on the back of two successive home wins that have taken them to the top of the table with the distinction of being the nation's top scorers.
They go west to take on a team whose recent form and results have put manager Joe Jordan under pressure.
The first game of a two-leg tie might call for a slight adjustment in strategy but Todd isn't prepared to abandon his positive principles.
"Obviously it's a bit of a breather from the league programme but we've got a good run going and I aim to keep it going," he explained.
"We'd like to come away with a clean sheet but there's no way I'll ever go into a game of football with a negative attitude. I've got a team that can attack as a unit and score goals but when we lose the ball they must be prepared to defend as a unit.
"We want to win the game then come back and start thinking about Saturday's game at Bradford."
An unchanged side means another place on the bench for fit-again skipper Gudni Bergsson, who has still to make a start this season.
With centre-back partners Chris Fairclough and Gerry Taggart continuing to impress and Steve McAnespie preferred at right back, Todd says the cultured Icelander is having to be patient.
"Gudni knows the score," the manager confirmed. "When the opportunity is right he will come into contention but at this moment in time I can't change the side."
Wanderers: Branagan, McAnespie, Phillips, Frandsen, Taggart, Fairclough, Johansen, Lee, Blake, McGinlay, Thompson. Likely subs: Bergsson, Todd, Taylor.
