THREE times Bolton champion Jessie Baxter and partner Denise Williams travel to Yorkshire next week to play in the Daily Mail Womens Amateur Foursomes Golf Tournament.

A very tight match in July away at Whitefield saw them two down with three to play but once again Jessie's nerves of steel and Denise's ability to produce the perfect shot just at the right time enabled them to come from behind and clinch victory.

Victories at home over Chorlton cum Hardy (4 and 3) and the Gathurst (5 and 4) followed and now only 16 couples remain to fight it out at Sand Moor Golf Club, Leeds, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
