BOLTON Community Health bosses are playing host to 15 different cultural groups offering food, music, dance and crafts from all over the world.

On Saturday, October 5, Clarence Street Community Education Centre in Bolton will be open to the public between 11am and 3pm.

The World of Food Festival 1996 has been organised by community groups representing widely varying cultures in Bolton.

"The aim of this year's festival is to encourage cooking and a variety of healthy food choices from around the world, and to focus especially on fruit and vegetable dishes," said Steffie Eihassan, Food and Health Adviser with Bolton Community Healthcare Trust.

Groups from India, Bosnia, the Ukraine, the Caribbean, Morocco and Lancashire will demonstrate how to make dishes native to their homeland.

They will also give visitors an opportunity to sample the finished dishes.

The "tuck-in" will be accompanied by English folk music, Irish and Indian classical dancing and belly dancing.

Entrance is free and everyone is urged to go along.
