BUSINESS security in Deane, Derby and Daubhill will be top of the agenda at a Bolton meeting on Monday.
It is part of the work of the 3Ds Partnership which has won government funding through the Challenge Fund Single Regeneration Budget.
It could mean the investment of about £80 million in the area over the next three to four years.
A substantial amount of the money will be directed towards helping local businesses create and safeguard employment.
Four speakers will discuss business security concerns at a meeting in the Emmanuel Church Hall (just off Cannon Street) at 5.45pm on Monday.
Topics will include the Bolton Safer Cities Initiative and Mr Ken Hahlo from Bolton Institute will outline the impact of crime and security on local business and employment.
A representative of Bolton Council's Economic & Physical Development Unit will give details of the 3Ds Business Security Initiative including information about the security grants which will be available to 3Ds businesses.
The event has been organised by the 3Ds Business Development Forum Executive created in July by a group of business people operating in Deane, Derby and Daubhill. It is urging local businesses to register - for free - as members of the wider 3Ds Business Development Forum.
Anybody interested in attending the evening or finding out more can contact Richard Jones on 01204 524262, ext 2451.
