IT was all change at Warburtons yesterday. The Bolton bakery firm switched to a different brand identity overnight and a new diamond-shaped logo is now on all the company's products and vehicles in a £5 million image re-vamp.

It ties in with the latest television advertising campaign featuring seven-year-old Daniel Thomas Lloyd from Horwich. He plays former chairman Derrick Warburton as he might have been some 65 years ago - feeding the company's bread to appreciative ducks.

Yesterday morning the real Derrick Warburton, now 72, was on the production line as the traditional loaves appeared for the first time in the new packaging.
