WHEN Julie Dunn arrived at church for a romantic white wedding, she had no idea her husband had arranged for her to be the bride!
Jeff decided to surprise his wife by giving her the fairytale wedding that she had longed for.
The couple, of Longworth Road, Egerton, originally married at Bolton Register Office six years ago - but Julie, 31, had always wanted a traditional white wedding with all the trimmings.
So three months ago Jeff secretly set to work organising a dream day for his wife.
Julie explained: "He concocted some story about meeting an old school friend who was getting married and we were invited to the wedding.
"He even went to the trouble of getting an invitation printed."
Behind his wife's back Jeff made sure all their friends and relatives could be there on their big day and he even bought her a wedding dress.
She added: "I remember saying to Jeff as we drove to Walmsley Church that I would love to get married there.
"When we arrived I couldn't believe it - I saw my sister. Then I saw my brother with his girlfriend. I thought they must be getting married!"
Jeff, who has his own construction firm, then admitted to Julie that it was her second wedding day.
"I couldn't believe it. It was such a romantic thing to do. He had thought of everything. The dress, the flowers and our families and friends ," she said.
Julie, who works for the Prescription Pricing Authority in Bolton, changed into her wedding dress in the church and was escorted down the aisle by her tearful father, John.
The couple, who have a 12-month-old daughter called Hannah, and their 60 guests then went to Deane Golf Club where they enjoyed another wedding reception.
Julie said: "It was a fabulous day. I still haven't got over it. I've got a very romantic husband!"
