HOLCOMBE Hunt officials have discounted claims by anti hunting protesters that a meet at Aspull, near Chorley was seriously disrupted at the weekend.
Members of the North West Hunt Saboteurs claim they "confused the hounds" by non-violent action including imitating the hunting horn and voice calls as they hunt set out from Ainscough Farm, Bolton Road, Aspull.
A spokesman for the saboteurs said: "It was a very good start for us with no kills by the hunt - which is our main aim."
But hunt officials claimed that, despite the disruption caused by the protesters, the event "went off as planned".
