SIR: On the weekend of September 14/15, a small group of Horwichites made their annual pilgrimage to our twin town of Crowborough.
The weekend includes a Saturday of carnival competitions, demonstrations and parades; followed by a wonderful evening of festivities, including the Bonfire Societies torchlight parade.
The whole day can honestly be described as a magical experience, bringing out the joy at good family fun and entertainment in everyone.
My main purpose in writing is to thank the Horwich Junior Queen and Rosebud for their attendance at the Crowborough Carnival. They did us proud. Throughout a very long day of official engagements they remained happy, smiling and charming.
Well done girls!!
