SIR: As your readers will be aware, my company Boydell's went into receivership on July 10 after 60 years of trading in the town.
I understand the Receiver has since disposed of the business and its company name.
I read the advert in the BEN on Friday, September 20, (Boydell's is back) but my anxiousness has been compounded a hundredfold by being inundated with good wishes from acquaintances, and former customers, under the impression that everything had come right for us. I am anxious that your readers should note that my family have no involvement whatsoever with this new company, hopefully to stop these kind people with their goodwill messages unknowingly compounding my agony further.
I am sure that if my father was still alive he would be as distressed as I am to see the business continue in different ownership under our family name.
Rita M Riding,
(Daughter of Bernard W Boydell).
