RADCLIFFE Boro made it six victories on the bounce with a convincing 3-1 victory over Curzon Ashton.
Despite taking a 10th minute lead through Malcolm O'Connor, Curzon were under pressure from the off and were in deeper trouble when defender Ian Street was sent off on 35 minutes for scything down Ian Lunt.
Boro took full advantage to consolidate second place in the table, Levi Edwards' scoring with a diving header on 59 minutes followed by a brace from prolific marksman Lunt on 61 and 67 minutes. ATHERTON LR registered a third consecutive win and added to struggling Gretna's misery in a 2-0 victory at Crilly Park.
Two second half goals put the icing on the cake of an all-round impressive team performance. Mattie Brookes, in for the holidaying Kenny Quigg, volleyed home superbly on 66 minutes, and Steve Gavin got a killer finish to a corner flicked on by Steve Iley on 87 minutes.
Tony Pemberton has agreed to return to LR after a short spell across town at Atherton Colls. Highly delighted club director Brian Seddon commented: "Our chairman Derek Halliwell had a word with Tony and invited him up for a chat with Dave Morris. Things have been sorted out and he would have played against Gretna but for a knee injury."
DAISY HILL travel to Colne tonight for an NWCL Division Two clash.
