DUNSCAR golfer Mike Lay has captured the English Police Championship to add to his growing list of honours.
The Detective Inspector has previously finished second and third in the national event but won the English title at Little Aston, Birmingham, by four strokes.
He shot 73 and 71 on the par 72 course to record not only the best gross but also best nett and best round scores. Mike has taken the North West Regional title three times but his proudest moments have been the two selections for the British Police team.
He has won the Bury Golf Association title three times and reached the final of the Bolton Golf Association once.
