HOME alone mum Pauline Henshall - who went to Spain leaving her two daughters behind - says she has been crucified by the Press.
Mrs Henshall, 39, returned to the family bungalow at Brookfields, Croston, on Saturday following a two-week holiday.
She refused to open the door to the Citizen saying: "I've already been crucified in the Press and I have nothing more to say.
"It is purely my business and of no interest to anyone else."
Police cautioned the mum on her return home. They were alerted when 13-year-old Alexa Henshall was left alone after her 21-year-old spina bifida sufferer sister Tracy was rushed to hospital with pneumonia.
Alexa was placed in foster care after police alerted Lancashire County Council's welfare workers.
Both the Police Family Protection Unit and Social Services chiefs have interviewed Pauline and Lancashire Social Services issued a statement saying: "We can confirm the police contacted us about the situation.
"We made arrangements to look after the young child involved, and are discussing matters with the mother."
