LEIGH Chief Executive Mick Higgins has called in the Rugby League auditor to check the books.
"There have been comments about how the club is being run which have hurt me personally and I hope by calling in the official accountant everything will be out in the open," said Higgins.
A club statement said that Leigh had called in Tony Gale the RFL Board of Directors' Accounts Investigation Executive to examine the books and systems within the club and to ensure that all procedures are being handled correctly including all cash transactions re match day returns, bar takings, donations, club shop etc.
