SIR: I would like through your column to express my sincere thanks to the two young men and a lady, who helped me after I slipped on the steps of Woolworths. It was on Friday, September 13, at 5.15pm. I was deeply shocked and I am not sure I said thank you. I have fractured by knee cap and have torn a ligament in my ankle.
The youth of today do not always receive a good press and those young men could have very easily run off with my handbag and shopping, but they didn't; so proving that that they are not all bad.
Thank you again.
Mrs N P Beetson,
Harwood, Bolton.
